If you are going to continue with your captions as you’re working on the stories, it would be nice if you made some with similar themes to the ones you plan on selling as an example.
I can try? To be honest, the causation works the other way around. I work from short ideas (captions) to long works (vignettes, and then stories). As I figure out what I’m doing, I’ll try to give hints along the way, and I’ll probably put up samples and teasers as well.
I see, while the stories you linked didn’t exactly seem like the best stuff under the sun I’m still looking forward to it. Have you decided what kind of system you are going to use to sell it?
Hopefully Amazon and Apple will carry it. And like I said, I’m still thinking on what’s actually going into the collection. That was just one possible list of several I’ve done up, and I’m not exactly sold on it myself.
Haven’t you considered writing a longer piece that would just happen to contain several various transformations instead of just a bunch of stories? That way you could always try marketing it as a gay novel (assuming you come up with an actual story instead of just a random excuse to make the two characters have sex) instead of a collection of porn stories.
Yes, I have thought of that. Here’s why I decided against it.
I have several ideas for novels–and several that I’m in the midst of writing, including City of Bears, however, I don’t think novels are the best way format to use when writing in the MC/TF genre.
MC/TF stories are sustained by the character’s transforming and controlling one another. Usually, these conflicts are so one sided that they can be resolved within the scope of a short story. That is (at the most simplistic level) there are two characters, one character changes and controls the other, they have sex, the end.
Now, the question is, how do we expand that idea in order to create a longer work, that is, a novel? I’ve tried a few methods, but there are two which stand out. The first is to extend the change and control period of the story. This can be done my making the change conventional rather than supernatural (because conventional changes necessarily require time, whereas supernatural changes do not) or by simply slowing down the rate of change in the story. This works, but in most of the stories that use this, I tend to lose interest, because when you stretch out the change, you decrease the payoff of the change itself. Something that might have been exciting happening all at once tends to become duller the slower it takes.
The second method is to create an episodic story, like you mentioned. In an episodic novel, you multiply the number of transformations, thereby making a longer work, and then connect those transformations thematically and narratively into one story. However, I don’t particularly see the use in this method, having already written several stories which employ it. In the end, the episodes always tend to feel more separate than unified, and always feel a bit…disjointed.
Now, in City of Bears Series Three, I’m trying something a bit different, which is to extend the story beyond the change, in order to deal with the ramifications of what the story caused, but I’m still playing with that idea, and don’t want to rely on it just yet.
In the end, I’m trying to strike a balance. About half the story will be a new long work with several transformations, like you’re looking for. I then want to pair it with some thematically similar material that I think will enhance the entire collection. I don’t want to just pad out the collection with stories I’ve already written though, which is why I want to take the time to revise and extend some stories I’ve already started. In the end, I’d like the stories to stand stronger together as a curated group, than they would on their own. I hope that explains my reasoning.
I think I’d buy it in a heartbeat, but I’m afraid that instead of something along the lines of the first City of Bears series it’s going to be full of castrated homeless people pooping on dudes and turning them into adult babies. Btw, can you link the stories which you were planning on expanding upon?
The stories I have planned are much more along the lines of City of Bears, than some of the more extreme stuff I’ve been doing. I don’t really think tailoring a collection to my most extreme audience would be the best way to sell copies. I know most of you probably won’t believe me until you see it though, since words are only worth so much.
Anyway, I haven’t settled on which stories I want to include yet, so I don’t really have a good list for you. I can however link you to some I’m thinking about including, and how I’d update/revise/edit them.
1) Losing Control: This was my first story, and I really like it, and I don’t think I’d change too much of it, but I would like to give it a nice revision/edit to just improve it all around.
2) Trailer Park Tango: I have always loved this story by Gasman, even if it is a M/F story. I’d like to write my own M/M version for the collection.
3) The Silent Auction: I really liked the premise of this vignette from a few weeks ago, but I don’t think I executed it all that well. If I included it in the collection, I’d tone down the more extreme TF’s (like, way down), and expand the whole story.
4) That Which You Hate: I liked this story, and it fits the theme nicely, but I think it would get some revisions. I’d probably start my changing out the last TF for something less filthy, but it would probably be more extensive than that.
I can’t guarantee that any of those will actually make the collection, but at least it might give you some idea of a) what sort of fetish level I’d like the collection to be, and b) what sorts of stories I’d like to work on.

It was more extreme than anything he’d tried before, but he had no doubt it would do the trick—if he could follow it—but he didn’t have a choice, did he? That is certainly an option, and I don’t begrudge you that. Unfortunately, free doesn’t get you everything. I won’t be releasing the new stories in any other format beyond this collection, and as nice as free stuff is, supporting your favorite artists and writers, who take a lot of time to make this stuff for their audience, is nice too. Especially ones like me, for whom this work is their primary source of income.

No worries, and sorry, but I’ve just given up trying to please everyone, lol. I will say that whatever the collection ends up being, I would like it to be themed, as I have already mentioned, but I also want to find a balance between keeping out some of the more extreme elements (especially gore and scat) and trying to keep every story from containing the exact same fetishes, because that will get real boring, real fast. Ideally, there will be some bear stuff, some muscle growth, some weight gain, some slob, some leather play, to try and keep it interesting.
