Well that’s a high bar to set for me. I certainly don’t run out of ideas very often, but prompts can be fun too, so I never turn them away.

Hey! Happy Birthday! Get an awesome job! Blow off the website until you can get your stuff fixed!
Thanks, I’m looking forward to a bit of a break this week. I had an interview which went very well, so I’m not too concerned about being suddenly unemployed anymore.

Dennis had always hated being a little guy, but that strange hat shop had given him the answer to his prayers. He’d picked up the “Bubba” hat as a joke more than anything else, and when he’d put it on, he’d suddenly been transformed into a massive daddy bear wearing work boots, dirty Levis and a grubby t-shirt instead of his skinny jeans and hipster wear. Taking the hat off and on, he found he could switch bodies at will. He’d rushed home, admiring his new, bearish self in the mirror while he jacked off, and then decided to hit some of the clubs too see if he could find a hot bear to test drive this body with.
Unfortunately, Dennis should have read the warning label, telling him that prolonged use could result in irreversible mental effects. When he returned home the next morning freshly fucked, he’d already lost thirty-five points off his IQ, his fine arts degree had been replaced with truck driving and repair know-how, and he spoke with a thick, southern drawl. Now, with the hat or without, he was a “Bubba” through and through.

When I switched bodies with that redneck I swore to myself that I was going to try and make the best of the shitty situation and turn this life around. I mean, I still had my mind, right? I figured I’d be able to do anything. Besides, he was a good ten years younger than me, I figured that shouldn’t waste them.
Well, here I am a year later–it turns out this body is a lot harder to control than my old one. I mean, I haven’t even been able to quit smoking–I thought that would be an easy one, and I still drink too much, but I can’t stop myself. I’ve tried landing decent jobs, but no one is willing to take a chance on someone someone who doesn’t even bother showering before the interview, so I’m still stuck working in construction. I’m horny all the time too. I jack off ten times a day, when I’m not having sex with random men off the street. We like to tell ourselves that our identities are in our heads, but its the habits of our bodies that really define us.

“Dude, how do you expect me to wear these? I mean, I know I’m working on a farm, but these don’t fit at all, man.”
“Would you rather get manure on your good clothes?”
“I can’t believe I have to do this all summer. This is fucking awful.”
“Hey, your parents sent you here to build some character, and I’m not gonna put up with that kind of attitude from my own nephew.”
“This is bullshit.”
“What did I just say, boy?”
“Fuck you.”
“Fine, you want bullshit? Go clean out the barn–there’s plenty of it in there.”
“Are you kidding? I’m not doing that–What…what the fuck? What kind of fucking clothes are these? Where are these boots taking me?”
“To the barn, of course. You’re gonna do what I say, when I say it, whether you like it or not. In fact, by the time you leave here, you’re gonna be a whole new person, I think. My bastard brother thinks he can just make me babysit? Just wait until he sees the fat, filthy redneck I send home in August. That’ll learn both of you.”
You should make a story solely on stink. Unshowered, dirty guys, skunk, etc, etc. And it should be about a jock who gets violated by a bear.
I’ll keep it in mind.
Photo Caption Week (and a day) #2
Alright, so I feel off the wagon this last week, so I’m going to just take it easy next week. One, I have commissions I have to work on, two, I’m looking for jobs, and three, it’s my birthday so I’m taking some me time. There will be three photo captions a day for the next eight days–hope you all enjoy them.
Metawriting #1 – The Point of Intersection
Alright, so I know I’ve been a bit light on the stories this week and last. The truth is that I’m suffering through a bout of writer’s block mostly attributable to exhaustion, stress and lack of time. As such, I don’t really feel like writing a story today, so I’m going to write about writing. Metawriting, if you will.
First, just so you all are aware of my background, I graduated a few years ago from college with a bachelors degree in Philosophy. Now what might philosophy have to do with writing mind control and transformation porn? A lot, surprisingly enough. When you spend your classes talking about what it means to be human, what it means to be the same individual over time, what it means to have a mind, and various other topics, you pick up some theories here and there which have a tendency to burrow their way into your writing. When I write stuff like this, it tends to be a bit dry and academic (but hopefully still interesting to a few of you!) so I’ll try not to use too much technical language, but as a warning, it might be there. If you’re confused about something, just ask.
Next, in college and out, I am a fairly common member of writing groups, and have lead quite a few of them. As such, I’ve spent quite a lot of time critiquing works written by others, both good and bad. Reading other works with a critical eye is the second best thing you can do to improve your writing, (the first being to write as much as you can) so on occasion, I might reference a story written by me or someone else to make a point.
Alright, now that that’s out of the way, I want to start off with a general discussion of MC and TF stories, and in particular, look at why these two always seem to end up working together in stories, when they aren’t necessarily related on the surface. Let me get some definitions out of the way first.
Transformation, obviously, involves one character taking on or losing physical or mental traits over the course of a story. These trait-shifts can be minor and trivial (the growth of a beard) or massive (a jock becoming a basketball). The means of transformation can be highly varied as well, but tend to fall into two camps, conventional (meaning they could occur in real life, such as lifting weights to gain muscle) and non-conventional (meaning they can occur only in fantasy, like casting a spell to become invisible). I’ll talk more about this later, in other entries.
Mind control, as I define it, is solely the act of having one character make another character do something the second doesn’t want to do themselves. There are any number of McGuffins to accomplish this: hypnosis, magic, telepathy, nanobots, computer programs, etc. What matters though, is that there is no necessarily transformative element in an MC story. There are, in fact, many stories which are straight MC with no transformative element. Similarly, a transformation need not involve mind control, if the subject of the transformation wants to transform. So, why then, do so many stories contain both?
One way of linking these up, is to think about why we use MC or TF themes in the first place. If I want to control a character’s mind, the usual reasons are either a) to make them do things they wouldn’t normally do, or b) make them become someone they wouldn’t usually be. In the first case we have stories which are straight MC, and in the second, we can see that TF themes naturally emerge in MC stories from the desire to make characters become something else against their will. Working in the other direction, we write TF stories to make some character become someone or something else, but often we want to them to “think” differently as well, or the character may not want to transform, bringing in MC themes from the other direction.
Now, why does any of this matter? Isn’t this just thinking a bit too hard about porn? Yeah, it probably is, but I think that this point of intersection is a central feature of writing good MC/TF fiction. These two themes don’t exist in entirely separate spheres, they inform and cause one another within good stories. It is the interaction of these themes which builds conflict and develops characters, and so understanding this interplay is crucial for writing these sorts of stories. To put it another way, when we work these themes together we don’t mind control for the sake of mind controlling, and we don’t transform for the sake of transforming. Instead, we control someone’s mind in order to transform them, and in turn, we transform them in order to change and control their minds. See? Doesn’t that sound hotter already? Now, the challenge is to figure out how to balance these themes and work them into plots, characters and all the other trappings of storycraft. Still, it all starts from this point of intersection–that’s the core of every story I write, at least.

You come back from the kitchen with another round of beers, and find your two friends, Barry and Steve, slumped against one another on the couch. Your heart beating faster in your chest, you hurry over and check to see if they’re good and asleep–those hypno pills had worked a lot faster than you’d expected. You’d bought them from a magic shop on a whim, doubting they would actually work–but here were your two bearish, but hopelessly straight, friends passed out and open to any suggestion your mind might dream up.
As a test, you tell them both to start fantasizing about the other, and even though they’re straight, they will find themselves getting hard. The two of them let out quiet sleep sounds and shift, as you see their shorts both tent out, and you walk over, groping both of them and encouraging them to delve deeper into their new, ultimate fantasy, soon working yourself into the mix as well. Before long, Barry is sucking your cock while Steve eats out your ass, and you know that your relationship will be very different from here on out.

“Those…those are them?”
“Yep, two cubs, pretrained, and just waiting for a good Master. Can only sell ‘em as a pair though–the conditioning and training only took if we kept the two of ’em together.”
“Where…who were they?”
“Just a couple who wanted to play rough and try some new things, so I showed them the pleasure of complete servitude. You want to give ’em a try? I can tell they like you already. How about it cubs, you want to convince this guy to take you home as his slaves?”
“What–can they even talk?”
“They can–I just have them in pup mode at the moment–they’re easier to transport. Alright cubs, come on out, and give my man here your best.”
“Holy–they sure don’t hesitate, do they? Fuck…”
“Yeah, that one’s definitely the better cocksucker, however, his friend has an ass to die for, trust me.”
“How…how much were they again?”
“Five million for both. Shall I have my men set up a wire transfer?”
“I can’t believe…I’ll take them.”
“Very well. I’ll leave the three of you alone while I finalize the sale. Enjoy your new slaves, sir.”
