Not really a question, but a thanks. Thank you for all the orgasms you’ve given. Thank you for regular updates. Thank you for being willing to interact with your fans, even if some of them are… uncouth. Thank you for inspiring me to exercise my own demons in fiction. I look forward to your next creation. PS, I have an idea for the opening scene of a Pigtown story. It’s yours if you want it.

You are most welcome. DM me sometime, and we can chat.

Next time someone calls you out on being an ignorant, hypocritical, smug piece of shit all you need to do is say that you’re from the Pacific Northwest. That’ll say everything anyone needs to know about your personal views without you even even having to explain a goddamn thing.

Now now, stereotyping is rude, don’t you think?

I’d like to think that even if I lived in the Midwest or the South, I’d still be the same ignorant, hypocritical, smug, piece of shit that you know and love. You wouldn’t want me representing the entirety of those regions now, would you? I can assure you that my opinions are my own, and I’d hold them no matter which shitty part of the country I lived in.

Your stories aren’t that great, it’s just that it’s so niche that there isn’t much competition, so people just settle for your trash. You’re a fairly competent writer, fine- but certainly not the best. The majority of your followers don’t even really read your blog. How you suckered in 100 people to pay your rent is beyond me, but these are the same people who also buy condoms full of shit from tweakers online, so I guess it’s not that crazy.

See? And here I was expecting someone to at least be clever enough to be all:

“You hate capitalism, and yet you use capitalism to make money off your shitty writing? How do you respond to that charge of hypocrisy?”

Also, since I live near Seattle, my rent is way more than what I collect through Patreon. Must be nice wherever you are.

But trust me, I’m under no illusions. I’m not the greatest writer in the world, I’m competent. The vast majority of people who read my stuff couldn’t care one whit about me as a person, which is why you all get so fucking incensed as soon as I start responding to asks.

Some people still give a fuck about art, I guess. Some people can appreciate the fact that people should be able to be paid for the labor they put in, and some people are genuinely appreciative of the writing I put out, and I appreciate them for caring. I consider myself to be damn lucky to make even the small amount that I do make, and I hope I provide enough extra stuff for them to feel like it’s worthwhile. I hope they know how much it matters to me.

Caring seems like a hard thing for you to do though. You should work on that, you’ll feel better, trust me.

Just wondering, why do you respond to assholes, especially when they’re anonymous? They’re just some random bitch, hiding behind anonymity. You owe them nothing. You’re better than them.

Like I said earlier, I respond to every ask that I get. I consider it a challenge.

I also admit that this is me thinking out loud about various things. I find Anon a rather fascinating creature, so all I can ask for is your patience.

So, help me understand something. You take your own personal time and energy — under no obligation to anyone — to provide free content to people — on your own personal blog — and then people get angry and troll when you share your views on your personal blog? That, again, they’ve subscribed to because they clearly want to consume the (free) content you generate? *sigh* I don’t have a real ask. Just think you’re awesome and wanted to say thanks for all you do. Truly.

The crux of the issue. You found it, yes.

See, for some people, it isn’t enough that you give them things, you also have to be someone that they like. A friend, a buddy, someone who agrees with their ideas and their opinions, someone they would have a beer with. Capitalism encourages this. It’s a great way to juice consumption, because people feel like they’re getting more than just a product, they feel like they belong.

So, understandably, when I am not their friend, and when I do not agree with their opinions and thoughts, it feels like a deep betrayal, because as consumers, they feel entitled not only to my content, but also to me–my persona, my time, and my energy.

I mean, we’re still having the same conversation and argument that started all of this, we’re still fighting about Capitalism–it’s just “meta”-stasized . This is Capitalism. This is what it does to you. It turns you into a troll when an author of niche smut doesn’t agree with you.

The sad part, the really awful thing, is they don’t even understand it. They don’t understand why they are so angry at me. They complain about me responding to asks, and the complain by sending me more asks. The problem, see, is that I don’t have to care about them, or their opinions. I’m breaking an unspoken rule of consumerism, and they don’t know how to react. It’s both funny, and terrifying.

When is Tuesday over for you? I’d like to stop getting notifications from this train wreck. It’s only people criticizing your smug attitude or retards just mindlessly kissing your ass.

Tuesday is over when I go to bed (eventually), or when everyone stops putting things in my ask box. If you want Tuesday to be over, why did you put something else in my ask box?

(turns to the audience)

It’s like they don’t understand basic cause and effect. At least I know they enjoy it, I suppose. The simple pleasures of simple minds like theirs. It’s the least I can do.
