I’m not sure if it was that I forgot what happened to the werebear guy who started the whole thing, or you just didn’t reveal it. I’m curious what was supposed to happen to the slobs, the two guys who end up having their memories wiped near the end, Matt’s friend from the church, the psychology professor turned leather master and the two cops. Speaking of, I really hope the last three make it into the reboot because them, the redneck slob and the bookworm/old trucker stories were really amazing.

We last saw Tristan heading off with his Beta, pursued by Matt and Terry. I had no real good ideas for what all that was going to lead up to, so you’re in the dark as much as I was.

As for the slobbing of campus, again, I let the story get away from me a bit. I’d started off with the intention of a crack down by the Masters Program, which evolved into the utter destruction of the Masters Program but with the end scenario remaining the same. I probably would have had to go back and rewrite that to open up some different directions in the plot.

The two story lines that I wanted to pursue are also ones I hope might make it into the redux but we’ll see. I really, really liked how the story of Matt and Terry was evolving, or rather, I liked the dynamic that was created between the tension of maintaining an erotic and romantic relationship has one member was undergoing a forced change. I have no idea where that was going to end up though once they escaped campus. The other story I’m hoping to resurrect is James (Matt’s friend, the Samson) and Erikson. The interplay between the two of them in the sewers was what I’d hoped to write next, along with the pursuit of Erikson by Officers Leather and Rubber. Again, I’m not quite sure what was going to happen down in the sewers, but it was going to be an interesting clash between science and faith as two ways of understanding what was happening to them and the city, as well as how crime should be punished and individuals redeemed. Regardless, James and Erikson will definitely be in the redux, so we’ll see what happens when we get there.
