Sorry, I just realized how poorly worded that question about avoiding classism was. What I was trying to ask was how I could write about someone becoming a slob outside the typical slob roles.

That’s alright. Stories can vary along three axes. You can find an original MacGuffin–the means through which your character’s change and are manipulated. Or you can develop a series of erotic triggers which are particularly original and evocative (sometimes moving a story into a new setting can help point to different kinds of triggers you might use). Or three, you can elevate the story above the mind control and transformation by attaching it to a deep narrative. This requires raising your character out of the realm of stereotype; giving them goals, desires and flaws; making them active so they do more than respond to stimuli; and overall, write a good story first and eroticasecond. These three things will do more than anything else to move a story beyond the mundane tropes that we’ve all read a million times.
