Not particularly. In the case of people I know, there isn’t really anyone who I hate strongly enough to really want them to be in one of my stories–it would be very strange to write. And honestly, changing someone I know for the sake of changing them feels disingenuous. I’d like to respect the people I know enough to not assume that I would know what’s best for them. You probably wouldn’t know it from my writing, but I have a deep appreciation for the importance of personal agency and autonomy.
I mean, in the case of some commissions, that’s about the closest I get, especially when I am literally relying on personas and fursonas, but that’s just the job, at the end of the day, and not quite what you’re asking about.
As far as celebrities go I don’t feel much of a connection to them like it seems some people do. I didn’t grow up engaged in that sort of pop-culture obsession that I know some people did. I’m not saying it’s bad–just not something I did. So the idea of changing or controlling celebrities, to me, always feels a bit strange. Although if I had my chance, I would probably rape Larry the Cable Guy. Rape that hot redneck right up the butt.
